🧟 Open-World Zombie Game – Master’s Project

Project Summary:
This open-world zombie survival game was developed during my Master’s program in Digital Game Development. The project focused on designing and implementing a large-scale terrain system, exploration mechanics, and dynamic enemy behavior within a free-roaming environment.

Inspired by modern survival games, the goal was to create a playable prototype that emphasizes player autonomy, environmental storytelling, and technical scalability within Unity.

Technical Highlights:

  • 🌍 Developed in Unity, using the Terrain system to build expansive, explorable environments

  • 🧟 Designed and programmed zombie AI with patrol, chase, and attack behaviors

  • 🔄 Implemented open-world mechanics, such as free movement, resource zones, and event triggers

  • 🖥️ Integrated systems for environment lighting, soundscapes, and atmosphere

  • 💻 Programmed in C#

  • 🎓 Created as part of a final Master's project focused on level design, systems thinking, and emergent gameplay

This project allowed me to explore the challenges of large-scale level design, AI behavior systems, and creating an immersive gameplay loop in an open 3D environment.
